SOFITEL PHNOM PENH PHOKEETHRA PRESENTS: “APRIL RAINS” BY SERA ING

Phnom Penh: May 05, 2025 – Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra is proud to unveil its 32nd exhibition at The Gallery, featuring “April Rains” by internationally acclaimed Cambodian-French artist Séra Ing. The exhibition will be open to the public with free admission from May 5 to June 30, 2025, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to nurturing the arts in the kingdom.

Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Presents: “April Rains” by Séra IngBridging cultures and histories, April Rains is a poignant collection that captures Cambodia’s complex emotional landscape through evocative brushstrokes, memory, and meaning. Drawing from his personal history and collective memory, Séra blends Western and Khmer influences to produce deeply reflective works that resonate with the themes of loss, resilience, and hope.

Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Presents: “April Rains” by Séra IngBorn in Cambodia in 1961, Séra Ing was forced to flee Phnom Penh with his family in 1975 following the rise of the Khmer Rouge regime. Now based in Paris, he is a painter, sculptor, performer, and graphic novelist. His work has been exhibited widely across Europe and Asia, and he is best known in Cambodia for creating To Those Who Are No Longer Here, the first memorial to Khmer Rouge victims at Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum.
