Phnom Penh: The Empowered Youth Leadership Conference 2024 (EYLC 2024) took place on September 4th, 2024, at Himawari Hotel Apartments, providing a distinguished platform to inspire, educate, and empower young leaders. This premier event aimed to ignite positive change through enhancing communication skills and beyond, with a focus on nurturing leadership strengths, sharing best practices, promoting social responsibility, and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Organized collaboratively by Singaporean and Cambodian entities—including SCC Cambodia, Refer Globally, Brands for Good, Add Courage, the School of Innovation Leadership, and Himawari Hotel Apartments—the conference welcomed 150 participants from nine schools. The event was designed to equip these young leaders with the tools and insights necessary to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Mr. Andrew Tay, President of SCC Cambodia, delivered a thought-provoking keynote address. He emphasized, “At this conference, you will delve into biblical principles of leadership, which have guided and inspired leaders throughout history.” He further highlighted the conference’s purpose by stating, “Today is about more than just learning; it’s about discovery. It’s about unlocking and realizing your potential as the leaders of tomorrow.”
Throughout the day, attendees engaged in a variety of sessions and workshops aimed at developing their leadership capabilities and understanding. EYLC 2024 was not only a celebration of young talent but also a crucial step in preparing the leaders of tomorrow to embrace their roles with confidence and clarity. As the conference concluded, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper commitment to driving positive change in their communities.
