Phnom Penh: On Monday 1st of November, as a part of the Economic and Social Development Programme, Japan is pleased to provide the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia with vehicles and office equipment, which is equivalent to 300 million Japanese Yen (about 2 million 780 thousand US Dollars), for Cambodia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2022.
H.E. Mr. MIKAMI Masahiro, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, attended the handover ceremony presided by H.E. Mr. PRAK Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and handed over 39 Japanese vehicles as the first batch of this cooperation. The remaining vehicles and office equipment will arrive over the next few months. The decision to provide this cooperation was made in light of the friendship between Cambodia and Japan and our strong determination to support Cambodia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2022 and ASEAN Centrality and Unity.
Japan will continue to cooperate with the Royal Government of Cambodia for the success of Cambodia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN 2022.
