Phnom Penh: Thursday, 19th-December-2019 – To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Cambodia, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Phnom Penh in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia has conducted Book Launching and Seminar entitled “Indonesia – Cambodia 60 Years of Friendship: Moving Forward” in Salon 1 at the Rosewood Hotel.
The event was presided over by Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Sudirman Haseng, with remarks by the Secretary General for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mayerfas, and by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia H.E. Eat Sophea.
The event showcased speakers as follows: H.E. Kan Pharidh, Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Dr. Diah Ayu Permatasari, Vice Rector for Cooperation of Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya University, Sitta Rosdaniah, Ph.D, Ministry of State-Own Enterprise of the Republic of Indonesia and Dinna Wisnu Ph.D, Associate Professor of International Relations.
The event was attended by around 150 participants from various backgrounds and sectors including youth from both countries. There was an Angklung music performance presented by the Indonesian Cultural Center in Cambodia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
