Phnom Penh: The Japan Foundation in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts and Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) will organize the “Japanese Film Festival 2019” on 20th – 24th of November in Phnom Penh at Major Cineplex of AEON Mall I and II and at Legend Cinema of TK Avenue and on 6th – 10th of December in Siem Reap Major Cineplex.
During the Festival, Japanese films selected from a wide range of different categories will be screened at the above-mentioned major theaters. The selection includes drama, Mystery, Musical, Animation, History and Comedy. These films portray various aspects of Japanese life, society and culture and will provide a good opportunity for audience to familiarize themselves with Japan and its people.
The 10 Japanese films will be screened with Khmer and English Subtitles. Screening schedule is published on the Japanese Film Festival website at the following link: http://kh.japanesefilmfest.org/screening-schedule/, The admission is free.
Japanese Film Festival has been held every year since 2015 to promote cultural exchange between Japan and Cambodia.
