Phnom Penh: H.E. Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia accompanied by Embassy’s senior officials visited Kampong Cham and Tboung Khmum provinces on Monday, 17th of June 2019. During the visited H.E. Ambassador Eldeen paid courtesy calls on H.E. Dr. Cheam Chansophorn, Governor of Tboung Khmum and H.E. Dr. Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Kampong Cham as well as visited Malaysian owned companies in both provinces, namely the Cambodian Transmission Limited (CTL) and FGV-CVC (Cambodia) Co. Ltd.
The visit to both provinces provided ideal opportunities for the Ambassador to understand more about each province and gave clearer picture of what every province can offer for future expansion of bilateral cooperation. The calls on respective Governor also served as a platform for both sides to renew commitment to strengthen the existing and new cooperation as well as potential interest in collaborating in various fields, particularly in trade and investments, agriculture, infrastructure development, education, tourism and Halal industry.
The site visits to the Malaysian owned companies, on other hand, gave the Ambassador beneficial experiences, especially in learning and understanding their nature of work and production processes as well as challenges in operating in respective provinces. At the end of the visit, the Ambassador assured his highest support to the companies to continue doing business in the Kingdom.
