PHNOM PENH: No. 09 PR-19/EoJ
The Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Cambodia announcement 12 Cambodian university, graduate school students are going to visit Japan from 18 to 26 February 2019 with university, graduate school students of other ASEAN countries and Timor – Leste at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2018.
The participants will be divided into 6 groups according to themes (Agriculture, Energy, Community Designing, Health, Gender, and Elderly Employment), attend lectures by specialists of each theme, and visit theme-related facilities with Japanese university graduate school students. They will also participate in workshops and experience Japanese culture. The detailed schedule is attached herewith.
The JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
It is expected that the participants will deepen their understanding of Japan and after coming back, share their experience widely with the people in Cambodia.
