PHNOM PENH: February 17, 2019: Red Wine House and Winest, organised a romantic dinner to taste wine with delicious food under the beautiful light. The purpose of hosted Wine Dinner & Food Pairing event was to improve knowledge of which wine to choose with various foods.
The Winest chose 4 wines to serve guests attending the Wine Dinner & Food Pairing event. Two types of wine were from France. One wine was from Bordeaux, Saint – Emilion, very well known to the French, and other one was from South of France.
Chateau Saint – Pey: This wine is originally from Bordeaux, Saint – Emilion, France. It is a complex wine that is a mix from the Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a Mediterranean soft taste and is suitable for a mild-tasting entree. The Winest recommends serving this with beef (Beff Capaccio).
Tabali Sauvignon Blanc: This wine is from the Limari Valley region of Chile. It is a Sauvignon Blanc made from grapes only the Limari Valley which is rich rich in limestone and minerals. The Winest recommends pairing this wine with Seafood or Tuna Salad.
Cellier Des Demoiselles – Merlot: Made in the Southern part of France using only the juice from the Merlot grapes. It has a full bodied taste and a cherry red color. is suitable for drinking on its own. The Winest recommends pairing this wine with Steak, Beef and Lamb.
Tabali Late Harvest: Originally from Chile’s Limari Valley region, it is made from the last harvested grapes of the season and is 100% sweeter and tastier. It is golden yellow in color. Prepare this wine by chilling from 6 to 8 degrees before serving. This wine is best paired with cakes or desserts due to its sweetness.
