Learning Jungle International School raises funds for Kantha Bopha @ Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra

Learning Jungle International School, the first Canadian franchise school in Cambodia held its graduation ceremony on June 24 at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. Musical performances were staged by the students to help raise funds for Kantha Bopha’s Children Hospital.
The event was presided over by H.E Kim Sethany, Secretary of State of Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia and Mr. Ly Virak, Chairman of Learning Jungle International School.
“To contribute to the social welfare of Cambodia and cultivate the generosity and sharing culture in our students from their young age, Learning Jungle Cambodia has initiated the annual fund raising campaign and has donated including today more than $20,000 to Kantha Bopha thanks to the support from our parents, staff, and school management,” said Mr. Ly Virak.
“This year, our students have worked to the best of their effort to show their talent on stage through many different performances to raise funds for Kantha Bopha Hospital to helping many Cambodian underprivileged children who have been awaiting medical treatment and lifesaving treatment every day. Revenues collected from the ticket sales to the student performances in this event will be all donated to Kantha Bopha,” he added.
Learning Jungle has branches in five different countries across the globe: Canada, US, Philippines, Cambodia and Singapore. Learning Jungle Cambodia received the franchise from Learning Jungle Canada since 2014 and has now extended its study programmes from kindergarten to elementary following the Canadian Ontario curriculum and taught by qualified and experienced teachers.
