Engly Tuy (Sakura): Major Cineplex at Sorya Center Point last Wednesday pre-screened the thriller movie ‘In Darkness’.
‘In Darkness’ is about a blind pianist Sophia, played by Natalie Dormer, who gets caught up in the dangerous underworld of London after she hears someone kill a girl. Sofia overhears a struggle in the apartment above hers that leads to the death of her neighbour Veronique, played by Emily Ratajkowski. It is the start of a journey that pulls Sofia out of her depth and brings her into contact with Veronique’s father, Milos Radic.
Radic is a Serbian businessman accused of being a war criminal, and Sofia is drawn into a dangerous world of corruption, investigating police, hit men and the Russian mafia – a world with links to Sofia’s own hidden past and a path of revenge she has kept hidden until now.
‘In Darkness’ is a 2018 thriller film directed by Anthony Byrne and written by Byrne and Natalie Dormer. The film was released on May 25 by Vertical Entertainment.
