JENESYS 2018 Youth Exchange Program – Youth Leader Exchange

PHNOM PENH: The reference No. 20 PR-19/EoJ and official release by Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Cambodia on Friday, 15th of March-2019.

10 Cambodian university/ graduate school students are going to visit Japan from 18 to 26 March 2019 with university/ graduate school students of other ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2018.

The participants will be divided into 4 groups according to themes (food tourism, disaster prevention, history and environment of manufacturing, and historical heritage), attend lectures by specialists of each theme, and visit theme-related facilities. They will also exchange with Japanese university/ graduate school students and experience Japanese culture. The detailed schedule is attached herewith.

The JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.

It is expected that the participants will deepen their understanding of Japan and after coming back, share their experience widely with the people in Cambodia.
