Phnom Penh: On the morning of April 4, 2022, under the cooperation and support of Plan International, the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development organized a national workshop on disseminating documents on water supply and sanitation in nutrition at Phnom Penh Hotel aims to disseminate the above information to inform policymakers and programmers in the areas of water supply and sanitation and nutrition.
The workshop was chaired by H.E. Chea Samnang, Chief of Cabinet, H.E. Yim Chhayly, Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Water Supply, Sanitation and Nutrition, H.E. Prak Sophornneary, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, H.E. Sok Silo, Secretary-General of the Council for Agricultural and Rural Development, H.E. Thong Poch, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Rural Development, Mr. Yi Kimthan, Deputy Country Director, Plan International Cambodia, and about 60 stakeholders.
Yi Kimthan said, “Lack of clean water and sanitation is a contributing factor in stunting and emaciation, which seriously affects children’s health and mental development,” said Yi Kimthan”.
