The delegation was led by Mr. Morad Tayebi, Director of Atout France for ASEAN and included representatives of Air France, Club Med and CroisiEurope and held on at Sofitel hotel in Phnom Penh with attended more than 60 representatives of Cambodian travel agencies participated in a seminar for tourism professionals organized by Atout France in collaboration with the Cambodian Association of Travel Agencies (CATA). This seminar was preceded by a working breakfast between CATA’s Board of Directors and the French delegation.

On 10th of June 2019 is a meeting was held at the Ministry of Tourism in the presence of the Minister, His Excellency Dr. Thong Khon, Mr. Morad Tayebi and Mr. Laurent Triponey, First Counselor of the French Embassy to strengthen bilateral cooperation in tourism. Both parties welcomed the growth in the number of tourists in both directions (25% of visa applications for France in 2019 compared to 2018. Which remains the leading tourist destination in Europe 4% of increase in the number of French tourists in Cambodia this year) and are committed to working closely in several area such as Eco-Tourism, Food and medical tourism and hotel ranking system.
