The students are the winners of the primary in-country contest for the “Asian International Children’s Film Festival 2019”, which was held on the 16^th of September 2019, Three of the winners are from Phnom Penh. The other six students and a supervisor are from Preah Monivong High School in Battambang Province.

The three films produced by the students were nominated for the festival’s final contest to be held on 7^th of December in Minami-Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture. The students will join the contest to present their work in-person.

During their visit, they will also have opportunities to take part in a city tour and school exchange programs. The detailed schedule is attached herewith.

JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan with participating countries and regions, and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. Through the program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited more than 2,100 Cambodian youths since 2007.

It is expected that the participants will deepen their understanding of Japan and after coming back, share their experience widely with the people in Cambodia.

សិស្សវិទ្យាល័យទាំងនេះ ជាអ្នកដែលបានទទួលជ័យលាភី ក្នុងការប្រកួតវគ្គពាក់កណ្តាលផ្តាច់ព្រ័ត្រក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាសម្រាប់មហោស្រពភាពយន្តកុមារអន្តរជាតិអាស៊ី ដែលបានរៀបចំឡើងកាលពីថ្ងៃទី១៦ ខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០១៩។ ក្នុងនោះ សិស្សវិទ្យាល័យ  ៣រូបនៅរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ៦រូបទៀត និងអ្នកដឹកនាំម្នាក់ គឺមកពីវិទ្យាល័យព្រះមុនីវង្ស ខេត្តបាត់ដំបង។

ភាពយន្តខ្លីចំនួន៣រឿងដែលផលិតដោយសិស្សវិទ្យាល័យទាំងនេះ ត្រូវបានយកទៅប្រកួតបន្តនៅក្នុងមហោស្រពភាពយន្តកុមារអន្តរជាតិអាស៊ីដែលវគ្គផ្តាច់ព្រ័ត្រ ដែលនឹងរៀបចំឡើងនៅថ្ងៃទី៧ ខែធ្នូ ខាងមុខនេះ នៅមិណាមិ អាវ៉ាជិ ខេត្តហ្យូហ្គុ ហើយសិស្សវិទ្យាល័យកម្ពុជាទាំងនេះ ក៏នឹងទៅចូលរួមផងដែរ។

កំឡុងពេលទស្សនកិច្ច ពួកគាត់ក៏នឹងមានឱកាសចូលរួមដំណើរកំសាន្តជុំវិញទីក្រុង ព្រមទាំងកម្មវិធីផ្លាស់ប្តូររវាងសាលា និងសាលាផងដែរ។ មានជូនភា្ជប់តារាងកម្មវិធីលម្អិត។

កម្មវិធី JENESYS 2019 មានគោលបំណងជម្រុញការយល់ដឹង និងការកសាងទំនុកចិត្តទៅវិញទៅមកក្នុងចំណោមប្រជាជនជប៉ុន និងបណ្តាប្រទេសចូលរួម  និងដើម្បីកសាងមូលដ្ឋានគ្រឹះនៃកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការ និងចំណងមិត្តភាពនាពេលអនាគត។​  តាមរយៈកម្មវិធីនេះ ក្រសួងការបរទេសជប៉ុនបានអញ្ជើញយុវជនកម្ពុជាចំនួនជាង២១០០នាក់ហើយ តាំងពីឆ្នាំ២០០៧មក។

This program will be conducted under the theme of “Rugby” to celebrate the Rugby World Cup 2019 to be hosted by Japan from 20th of September to 2nd of November 2019. The participants will have experience of rugby with Japanese high school students and the other participants from the other ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste in Shizuoka Prefecture. On 20th of September, they will also watch the opening game of Rugby World Cup 2019 in Tokyo. The detailed schedule is attached herewith.

This program was focused on sports exchange of canoeing, since Japan and Cambodia have nurtured friendship in canoeing through the coaching by Mr. Tsuchiya Ryuichi, coach of the Federation, since 2012.

During the program, the participants will have a meeting with Mr. Masanori Narita, President of the Japan Canoe Federation, and observe the Sea Forest Waterway, venue for the canoe and rowing competition during the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. They will have joint training with members of Japanese national team and the canoe tournament at Lake Kiba Canoe Sprint Course in Komatsu-city, Ishikawa Prefecture. The 26 JDS Fellows of 19th batch will study for Master’s and Doctoral degree program in Japan in various fields, such as Infrastructure Development, Private Sector Development, Improvement of Education Quality, Agriculture and Rural Development, Improvement of Urban Living Environment, Improvement of Healthcare and Social Security System, Improvement of Administrative Functions, Legal and Judicial Development, and Building of International Relations.

The Government of Japan strongly believe that all JDS fellows will become the exceptional human resources for Cambodian socioeconomic development, and will also be the bridge to strengthen cordial relationship between the two countries.

The decoration was decided on May 21 , 201 9 by the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan in recognition of His Royal Highness contribution to strengthening relationship and friendship between Japan and Cambodia.

Honorable guests were invited to the ceremony, during which the decoration was bestowed upon Samdech Norodom Sirivudh by H.E. Mr. HORINOUCHI on behalf of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

All the 3rd academic year students of universities in Cambodia can apply for the Contest regardless of their major subjects and the Embassy will select 24 students of 6 groups at the Final Contest as the participants of JENESYS 2019.

In the Final Contest, the nominated applicants will make a presentation under the theme of “My Province, My Hometown” in Khmer language.

The dialogue was led respectively by Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador in charge of UN Affairs, Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Policy Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Keo Remy, President of Cambodia Human Rights Committee.

During this dialogue, both countries exchanged views on human rights issues in general such as freedom of political activities, expression, assembly and association, and the independence of the judiciary. The countries also had fruitful discussion on Japan’s capacity building assistance to Cambodia and the cooperation in the field of human rights in the international area.

The recipients who are awarded the Commendations for their activities related to Cambodia are as follows:

TEMPURA KIDZ is a vocal dance group consisting of one male and three female artists, which was founded in 2012 and performed in many occasions in Japan and abroad. Their powerful and energetic stage performance characterized by a highly sharp movement in dance. Alongside the performances, they also have organized dance workshops actively. So far, they have performed in 17 cities of 13 countries including Cambodia, where they first visited in 2017.

The Embassy hopes that their second visit to Cambodia will attract more audience by their amazing performance.
