Phnom Penh: August 31, 2026 Pailin Provincial Governor H.E. Ban Sreymom welcomed Mr Vladimir Palancica, President of BRICS House Cambodia, and Ms Khek Khemrath, Vice President, during a visit aimed at exploring the province’s economic, agricultural, social and tourism potential.
The visit focused on strengthening cooperation and identifying new investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture and agro-processing, with the goal of increasing the value of Cambodian agricultural products and expanding access to international markets.
Discussions also highlighted the potential to connect Pailin’s agricultural production with markets in Russia and other international destinations, creating opportunities for local producers to expand exports.
Pailin is known for its agricultural potential, producing a range of vegetables, fruits and other natural products. With greater investment in processing, packaging and market access, the province could further develop its agricultural value chain and improve opportunities for local communities.
Tourism was another key area of interest. The province’s natural landscapes, favourable climate and existing attractions offer opportunities for developing nature-based and ecotourism destinations capable of attracting both domestic and international visitors.
The visit also explored the potential of linking agriculture, agro-processing, tourism and investment as complementary drivers of local economic development.
Through BRICS House Cambodia, future cooperation could help establish stronger connections between Pailin and international investors and markets, particularly in Russia, while promoting Cambodian agricultural products and tourism opportunities abroad.
The visit marks a step toward building direct connections between provincial authorities, local economic actors and international partners, with the broader aim of turning Pailin’s existing potential into sustainable investment, trade and development opportunities.
