Global Expert Stéphane André Supports Chronic Pain Awareness and Prevention in Cambodia

Phnom Penh: June 2026. Phnom Penh is set to welcome Stéphane André, a renowned Franco-Canadian expert in back health and chronic pain management, this June. With more than 25 years of international experience, André will conduct a series of inclusive workshops aimed at empowering individuals and professionals with practical solutions for preventing and managing chronic pain.

Designed to be accessible to all, the workshops will be conducted in both French and English and are open to members of the public regardless of age or physical condition. Whether participants are young adults, seniors, pregnant women, or individuals with reduced mobility, the sessions will provide practical tools and evidence-based techniques to better understand the causes of pain and improve long-term physical well-being.

Drawing on over two decades of professional experience, André has developed a unique approach to back health that focuses on education, prevention, and sustainable pain relief. His workshops will help participants identify daily habits that contribute to discomfort and introduce safe, adaptable strategies that can be incorporated into everyday life.

Specialised training sessions will be delivered to coaches and Paralympic athletes, focusing on injury prevention, physical preparation, and performance enhancement through advanced back health management techniques.

The visit also marks an important milestone ahead of the opening of the Byebyeback Pain Centre in Phnom Penh. The centre will provide specialised services dedicated to chronic pain management, combining personalised care with internationally recognised expertise to strengthen healthcare options available in Cambodia.

Stéphane André is a Franco-Canadian specialist in back health and chronic pain management with over 25 years of experience helping individuals improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. His work combines practical education, preventative strategies, and personalised approaches to physical well-being for people of all ages and abilities.

Practical details of the event will be public sessions (open to all) on Thursday, June 5 at 6:00 PM and Friday, June 6 at 10:00 AM. The location is Espace Lumière, 165 Rue 110, Phnom Penh, and the price is $15 (a donation will be made as part of the training of Paralympic coaches). On Tuesday, June 9, at 9:00 AM is about the sports seminar and location at the Cambodia Paralympic Committee Center.
