THE US-ASEAN BUSINESS COUNCIL DELEGATION VISITS CAMBODIA

Phnom Penh: The U.S. Embassy announced the annual US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) visit to Cambodia from December 1 and 2, 2025, bringing leading U.S. companies to meet with senior Cambodian government officials. The mission highlighted the deepening economic ties and significant opportunities arising from the recently signed U.S.-Cambodia Agreement on Reciprocal Trade.

The delegation, comprising representatives from 12 member companies across key sectors including health, energy, digital goods services, financial services, and hospitality, signifies the increasing interest of American businesses in Cambodia’s fast-growing economy.

The U.S. Embassy and USABC representatives applauded the proactive steps taken by the Cambodian government to enhance the business climate through the U.S.-Cambodia Public-Private Sector Dialogue process. The dialogues have made positive progress in improving transparency, reducing the costs of doing business, and creating a level playing field for U.S. companies.

U.S. companies are recognised as the world’s “gold standard,” adhering to local and international laws, providing high-quality services and products, and contributing to local communities through professional development and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The USABC visit comes at a time when the U.S.-Cambodia bilateral relationship is stronger than ever. The mission followed the landmark signing of the U.S.-Cambodia Agreement on Reciprocal Trade on October 26 in Kuala Lumpur by President Donald J. Trump and Prime Minister Hun Manet. Cambodia’s reduction in tariffs on most U.S.-origin goods and their commitment to removing market access barriers for U.S. companies increased U.S. exports to Cambodia.

The U.S. Embassy reaffirms its commitment to working closely with the Cambodian government to fully implement the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade and strengthen trade and investment ties for mutual prosperity.
