Phnom Penh: École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule (EHT Paul Dubrule) hosted the Women Empowerment Forum 2025 on October 30th, 2025, at its campus in Siem Reap. Gathering more than 600 participants from government institutions, the private sector, NGOs, and academia, the Forum served as a dynamic platform for dialogue on gender equality and women’s empowerment in Cambodia.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. HOU Nirmita, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and high representative of H.E. Dr. ING Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs; H.E. SUOS Rathavy, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training and high representative of H.E. HENG Sour, Minister of Labor and Vocational Training; and H.E. Manny Raingsey, Deputy Provincial Governor of Siem Reap and high representative of H.E. PRAK Sophoan, Governor of Siem Reap Province. H.E. OEURN Panchakneat, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment and high representative of H.E. Dr. EANG Sophalleth, Minister of Environment.
Throughout the afternoon, participants engaged in three inspiring sessions: a panel discussion on gender stereotypes & equality, featuring H.E. HOU Nirmita, Ms. CHHAY Sophorn (CEO of HR Code), and Mr. VANNA Veasna (Cambodia Rural Student Trust – Project G).
The Conference on Women in Business, highlighting the journeys of Chef POL Kimsan, president of the Cambodian Chefs Association, and Mrs. YOU Bory, vice president of internal affairs of the Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association.
The Panel Discussion on Women in Sustainability, with Mrs. OUM Sophea Pheach, founder of Golden Silk Pheach; Ms. LY Pharom, SR Manager, Banteay Srei NGO; and Mrs. SOME Chantha, Sales Manager, Senteurs d’Angkor.
The Women Empowerment Forum 2025 reflects EHT Paul Dubrule’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity, leadership, and professional growth among women, while strengthening partnerships that contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future for Cambodia.
