A NIGHT OF SOPHISTICATION, RICH FLAVOURS AND SHARED HERITAGE

Phnom Penh: 11-12 September 2025 – Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh hosted Flavours of Malaysia: Baba Nyonya Cuisine Showcase with great success, bringing award-winning young chefs to Phnom Penh for a two-day tribute to Malaysia’s rich food culture.

The event was hosted in collaboration with Ascott Gurney Penang, Malaysia, with both properties representing The Ascott Limited, one of the world’s leading international lodging owner-operators.

𝐀 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞. With passion and artistry, Chefs Raymond, Jensen, and Asraf of Ascott Gurney Penang brought Malaysia’s bold and nostalgic flavors to life. Each dish was crafted as a story on the plate—beautifully balancing tradition with a modern twist. Guests loved every bite, praising both the authenticity and creativity of the experience.

A key highlight of the two-night showcase at Senses Restaurant was the presence of distinguished guests, including His Excellency, representatives from the Embassy of Malaysia, valued business partners, industry leaders, and members of the media. The evening was more than a culinary experience—it was a meaningful occasion to strengthen relationships and build lasting connections.
