Phnom Penh: The Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra proudly presents Reflections of Peace, a contemplative solo exhibition by Cambodian artist Im Pesey, now open to the public at The Gallery with free daily admission from 8am to 10pm.
Born in Prey Veng and currently based in Phnom Penh, Im Pesey paints with quiet depth, drawing inspiration from the rhythms of everyday Cambodian life. His journey into art began in childhood, captivated by the temple murals of his village, and was later refined through studies at the Royal University of Fine Arts and the Royal Academy of Cambodia.
Pesey’s work has been exhibited across Asia, including in Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and India.
Known for their soft hues and meditative compositions, his paintings offer a serene space for introspection, inviting viewers to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the present moment. Reflections of Peace explores themes of memory, harmony, and the natural grace found in everyday life. Through each canvas, Pesey offers a gentle invitation to slow down and rediscover the poetry of the ordinary.
