Phnom Penh: Himawari Hotel Apartments proudly marks its 25th anniversary this year, celebrating a legacy of excellence in hospitality since first welcoming guests in 2000. Over the past two and a half decades, Himawari has become a premier choice for business and leisure travelers, government officials, and diplomats, building a strong reputation for service, comfort and community engagement.
Celebrating the theme “25 Years of Timeless Hospitality,” the hotel reaffirms its commitment to Cambodian culture, tourism, and exceptional service. This milestone also highlights the resilience and unity shown through recent global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Andrew Tay, Director of Himawari Hotel Apartments, expressed sincere appreciation to the Royal Government of Cambodia for its leadership during the pandemic. “The government’s swift and effective response allowed us to overcome the significant challenges of the past few years. We’ve since taken the opportunity to upgrade our property and services, including the renovation of guest rooms, enhancement of meeting room facilities, modernization of elevators, and the introduction of more personalized and efficient guest services,” said Mr. Tay. “Our goal is not only to provide a place to stay, but also to offer guests an enriching and memorable experience of Phnom Penh.”
As part of the anniversary celebration, the hotel hosted a Guest Appreciation Night, where management extended heartfelt thanks to long-standing guests, partners, and supporters and recognized long-serving staff since pre-opening who have been instrumental in Himawari’s continued success.
Looking ahead, Himawari Hotel Apartments remains dedicated to delivering distinguished hospitality while supporting the growth of Cambodian tourism and honoring the cultural heritage of the kingdom.
