Phnom Penh: December 5, 2024 Chargé d’Affaires Bridgette Walker launched Restaurant Week 2024: Fresh From the USA in Phnom Penh to promote U.S. agricultural products to the Cambodian business and culinary communities.
Starting December 6 and running through December 15, some of the best restaurants in Phnom Penh will offer delectable prix-fixe menus and other promotions for both lunch and dinner to showcase their use of U.S. agricultural products. In her remarks, Chargé d’Affaires Walker noted, “U.S. Restaurant Week is an exciting event that celebrates the diversity and creativity of the culinary scene in Cambodia. People come together to enjoy delicious food, experience new flavors, and learn about U.S. agricultural products. Restaurant Week is also a great opportunity to support the amazing restaurant scene in Phnom Penh and see how U.S. ingredients can be enjoyed in cuisines from all around the world.”
U.S. Restaurant Week highlights how American agricultural products blend into any cuisine. Phnom Penh has an incredible international food scene, including many restaurants that incorporate US ingredients. The launch event brought together participating restaurants that proudly use U.S. food ingredients, including the U.S. Meat Export Federation, California Milk Advisory Board, and U.S. food importers, a culinary school, restaurant and hotel associations, chefs, and many local foodies.
