Commendation of the Foreign Minister of Japan to 3 person in Kingdom of Cambodia

Phnom Penh: No. 38 PR-19/EoJ nn 16th of July 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan issued a press release on the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for this year, which are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievement in international fields, to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas.

The recipients who are awarded the Commendations for their activities related to Cambodia are as follows:

Dr. Oum Ravy, Vice Rector of Royal University of Phnom Penh
Contributions: Promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Cambodia, especially academic exchanges between universities of the both countries.

Mr. Ek Buntha, Deputy Director General in charge of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts.
Contributions: Promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Cambodia, especially cultural exchanges between the both countries.

Mr. Takakazu Yamada, Visiting Professor of Faculty of Art, Royal University of Fine Arts
Director of Yamada School of Art and Member of Japan Art Institute (Nihon-Bijutsuin)
Contributions: Promotion of cultural exchange through art between Japan and Cambodia, especially inspiring Cambodian artists through art education.

An awarding ceremony will be organized in due course.
